On Saturday 1st May 1999 I travelled to the Oxford Apollo Theatre to see E.L.O. Part II for a second time, the first time being in 1993 at Cheltenham (see review).

I found this concert to be even better than before, one reason for this was because they performed some of the more obscure songs like NIGHT RIDER, POKER, FIRE ON HIGH, and the 1998 BBC WORLD CUP THEME with LOUIS CLARK playing flute (I hope they put this on CD).

They also performed old classics like 10538 OVERTURE, DIARY OF HORACE WIMP, and even XANADU.

In the main it was the same band as in 1993 except that PHIL BATES has been excellently replaced by PARTHENON HUXLEY.

So the new line-up for ELO PART II was:-
